Urine Routine & Microscopy

Complete urine analysis providing a non-invasive window into kidney, urinary tract, and metabolic health. The examination includes three components: Physical Examination (color, clarity, specific gravity, pH), Chemical Analysis using dipstick testing (protein, glucose, blood/hemoglobin, bilirubin, urobilinogen, ketones, nitrites, leukocyte esterase), and Microscopic Examination (red blood cells, white blood cells, epithelial cells, casts — hyaline, granular, cellular, crystals — calcium oxalate, uric acid, and organisms including bacteria and yeast). Urine routine is essential for diagnosing urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney disease (proteinuria, hematuria), diabetes mellitus (glycosuria), liver disease (bilirubinuria), kidney stones (crystalluria), and nephritis. It is a standard component of health check-ups and pre-operative assessments. Collection instructions: A clean-catch midstream urine sample is preferred. Avoid contamination and deliver the sample to the lab within 1 hour of collection. Results are available within 2-3 hours.
