Transvaginal Sonography (TVS)

Transvaginal ultrasound provides superior image quality for detailed evaluation of the uterus, endometrium, cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and surrounding pelvic structures. Using a specially designed high-frequency endocavitary transducer, TVS offers significantly better resolution than transabdominal ultrasound for gynecological conditions. This examination is essential for detecting and monitoring uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, and ovarian tumors. TVS is also the preferred method for early pregnancy assessment (first trimester), follicular monitoring during fertility treatment, endometrial thickness measurement, and post-menopausal bleeding evaluation. The procedure is performed in a comfortable, private setting by trained professionals with complete respect for patient dignity and comfort. No special preparation is usually required — an empty bladder is preferred for better image quality. The examination typically takes 15-20 minutes, and results are available on the same day with a comprehensive report.
