Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid Tests

Rapid and accurate diagnostic panel for the three most common tropical fevers in our region. Dengue Testing includes NS1 Antigen (positive in first 1-5 days of fever for early diagnosis), IgM Antibody (positive from day 5 onwards indicating current/recent infection), and IgG Antibody (indicates past infection or secondary dengue). Complete blood count with platelet monitoring is also performed. Malaria Testing includes Peripheral Blood Smear examination under microscopy for parasite identification (P. vivax and P. falciparum species detection with parasite density estimation) and Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT/Card test) for quick screening. Typhoid Testing includes Widal agglutination test (detecting antibodies against Salmonella typhi O and H antigens), Typhidot IgM for early detection, and Blood Culture when indicated for definitive diagnosis. In Bihar and other endemic regions, these tests are critical for timely fever evaluation, especially during monsoon and post-monsoon seasons. Early diagnosis enables prompt treatment, platelet monitoring in dengue, and appropriate antibiotic selection in typhoid. Results for rapid tests are available within 1-2 hours.
